We all know the real estate bust hit SW Florida hard. The good news is that since we were among the first to feel the pain, we are among the first to recover. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that Florida had the second best year among all 50 states in terms of reducing unemployment. The real estate market is closely tied to unemployment rates, so this is good news for us on Pine Island. Also, Florida ranks 3rd among states for population growth. It appears the secret is getting out about the incredible quality of life here on Florida's Creative Coast.
