Pine Island draws such a diversity of people and interests ~ it's what makes us charmingly unique. A woman working on genealogy called Pine Island Realty to ask about a property owner on the island from years past. When the tax records weren't able to help, she asked if there were any local genealogy groups. I remembered hearing about one, but unfortunately didn't know any details to pass along to her. A little while later, one of those weird coincidences occurred. I opened up our local Pine Island Eagle newspaper, and there it was right in front of me on the "Club Notes" page. "Pine Island Group of Lee County Genealogy Society meets at the Pine Island Library the second Wednesday of every month at 1pm..." Well, I called the woman back and passed along the information.
The eclectic nature of our community never ceases to amaze me. Whether interested in boating, gardening, fishing, music, art, writing, building surfboards (check out my husband's LowKeySurfboards.com), volunteering, golfing, yoga, tennis, swimming, biking, kayaking, bird watching, or genealogy ~ Pine Island's got it!
If your interest is sparked, give me a call. It's a great time to buy real estate! Take advantage of historically low interest rates, affordable housing prices and good inventory choices.
